
1. American Werewolf in London. (Rated R. 1981)
Written and Directed by John Landis. From the director of Animal
House comes a different kind of animal. This little gem is about two
young college guys venturing on a camping trip to London who suddenly find themselves knee deep in werewolf lore. This
is the film that would later inspire Michael Jacksons Thriller video. The films horror-comedy feel has inspired several knockoffs thereafter.

2. Halloween: Extended Cut
(Unrated. 1978)
Directed by John Carpenter and Co-written by Debra
Hill and John Carpenter. The night HE
came home. Michael Myers was a normal boy and then one day he snapped and
murdered his sister, now years later, he comes home to strike again. This is
the film that started a separate genre all on its ownthe slasher genre. It also
marks the launch of John Carpenters rollercoaster career.

3. Empire of the Ants (Rated
PG. 1977)
Directed by Bert Gordon and Co-written by Bert Gordon and Jack Turley. Its no picnic. Based on the story by
H.G. Wells, a small shore line community is attacked by a colony of ants the size of that new Pontiac Vibe. Its a fight to survive and in the end, we are left with giant ants or Joan Collins. Who do you want to survive???

4. Nightmare
on Elm Street (Rated R. 1984)
Written and Directed by Wes Craven. If
Nancy Doesn't Wake Up Screaming She Won't Wake Up At All. This is the film that put Mr. Craven on the map. Young Nancy is suffering from nightmares, the only thing is, her nightmares are becoming
reality and only she can stop the demon responsible, Freddy Krueger.

5. Night
of the Living Dead (Unrated. 1968)
Written and Directed by George A, Romero and Co-written
by John Russo. Theyre coming to get you
Barbara. On a dark and cloudy afternoon, the dead rise from the grave to
attack the living. Eventually a few survivors get locked in a house in a fight
against the zombies and the monsters inside.

7. Friday
the 13th (Rated R. 1980)
Written and Directed by Sean S. Cunningham and Co-written by Victor Miller. Fridays will never be the same. The
very first Friday is unlike the others, oh what am I saying, its exactly like the others.
Someone is killing off camp counselors whose only crimes are premarital sex, underage drinking and occasional drug
use. This cheapy horror film was followed by nine sequels.

II: The Second Story (Rated PG-13. 1987)
House is directed by Steve Miner and written by Fred Dekker and Ethan Wiley. House
II is written and directed by Ethan Wiley. Ding
Dong, youre dead. The House stories (no pun intended) are uniquely different
but both have been combined for space as a double feature of sorts. Both stories
(no pun intended again) are about men who have moved into haunted houses.

10. Evil
Dead (Unrated. 1982)
Written and Directed by Sam Raimi. Can they be stopped?
This is the film that started it all for director Sam Raimi and ham actor Bruce Campbell. A group of campers head out to a small cabin for some peace and quite and find themselves fighting off
the undead, which has infested the surrounding woods. One by one they are infected
with the spirit until all that is left isaww, I cant give it away.

12. Jaws (Rated PG.
1975)

by Steven Spielberg. Written by Carl Gottlieb and Peter Benchley (based on his
book). The terrifying motion picture
from the terrifying No. 1 best seller. This is the film that started the
Spielberg phenomenon which continues to this very day. When a shark attacks a
small community town, three men set out to hunt the beast down.

13. Phenomena
(Unrated. 1984)
Written and Directed by Dario Argento. Jennifer Has A Few Million Close Friends. She's Going To Need Them
All. This Italian horror film is from the sick and twisted mind of Dario Argento and is shown as the directors cut. It also stars Academy Award Winning Actress Jennifer Connelly. Oh, and the story, well, its a nightmare story of murder, maggots and teenage telepathy. Enjoy.

14. Joy
Ride (Rated R. 2001)
Directed by John Dahl. Written by Jeffrey Abrams and Clay Tarver. This is the marathons
one and only new flick. It started out
as a joke. Now the joke is on them.
Hot off the assembly line is Joy Ride, a film about two guys who play a
nasty joke on a trucker and find that truckers are: horny and cant take jokes all that well.
The only way to stop the trucker is play by his rules.

15. Meet
the Feebles (Unrated. 1989)
Written and Directed by Peter Jackson. Hell hath no fury like
a hippo with a machine gun. This is the mascot film for the horror movie
marathon and that is all I shall say about this one. That and its directed by
the director of Lord of the Rings!!
